The RF-HUB has a small status light (LED) that shows what the hub is doing at a glance. Here's what each colour and pattern means:
- White (solid, dim) — the hub is starting up. It stays white for roughly the first 5 seconds.
- Solid yellow — the hub has no Wi-Fi and is trying to connect. This can last a while if the password or network is wrong, or if the hub is out of range.
- Solid green, with a brief blink every 5 seconds — the hub is connected to Wi-Fi and running normally. The short blink just shows the hub is alive. If you still can't reach the hub's web page, it has probably been given a new IP address – go to qtrl.me/find from the same Wi-Fi.
- Fast blinking blue — a firmware update is in progress. Do not unplug the hub.
- Blue blink pattern after a power cycle — safe mode, triggered after 5 quick restarts in a row. The hub then opens its own open Wi-Fi network named "StyraHem-RFHUB-" followed by the hub's MAC address, reachable at
http://192.168.200.1. - White blink pattern — the hub has failed to start up many times in a row and is in safe mode. Please contact support.
During an update
During a firmware update, the hub temporarily switches to its own update mode. The light then stays white and briefly flashes a colour roughly every two seconds:
- White only — the hub is connected and talking to the server.
- Blue — the hub is connecting.
- Orange — the hub is downloading the new firmware.
- Green — done. The hub is restarting into the new firmware.
- Yellow — the hub can't reach your Wi-Fi network and has started its own open Wi-Fi, "StyraHem-OtaFlasher-" followed by its MAC address, at
http://192.168.200.1. It can also mean the download was interrupted and is being retried. - Red — the update failed. The hub restarts itself and tries again.
Adjusting the brightness
You can change how bright the status light is. Open the hub's web interface, go to Settings and use the LED Brightness slider. Set it to 0 % to turn the light off completely. The setting is saved and kept after a restart.
